Q: How long do fleet inspection records have to be kept?

Motor carriers keep each DVIR and its certification of repairs for three months from the date of the report. Driveroo stores every inspection, defect and repair online for as long as you need them, so an auditor can see the full history of any vehicle in seconds.

The moment a driver marks a defect, it appears in Issue Management with the photos and notes. Alerts go to the right people by severity, issue type or location, and work orders can be generated automatically, so repairs start without a phone call.

Q: How are tractors and trailers inspected together?

You choose. Fleets with fixed tractor-trailer pairs use one combined inspection workflow. Fleets that swap trailers often use separate, quick-access trailer inspections, usually started with a QR scan. For third-party trailers, a generic trailer inspection can be paired with the tractor's pre- and post-trip.

Q: Does Driveroo work with our telematics?

Yes. Driveroo exchanges data with your telematics devices, so telematics data can be used in inspection workflows and reports, and inspection data can be shared back. Dashboards can be searched, filtered and downloaded to spreadsheets or PDF.
